Why You Should Cop Converse Latest Collab With AMBUSH

Converse unveils a collaboration with Yoon Ahn, founder of the streetwear brand, AMBUSH. Ahn took a spin on the two classic silhouettes, Chuck Taylor and Pro Leather. Unfortunately, the collection will only be released in the US.

Ahn draws her inspiration from the cold weather bunny boots and the early days of Converse when military footwear was sold during World War II.

Converse X AMBUSH Chuck 70

The Chuck 70 is bedecked in rubber layering and coconut milk matte rubberised upper, branded with Converse classic Chuck Taylor logo. A heighten midsole platform to add a chunky feel and gusseted tongue for stability and insulation, and tonal laces to complete the monochromatic look.

Converse X AMBUSH Pro Leather

Ahn has modified the classic basketball leather sneaker into a rugged tactical aesthetic, with a black rubberised upper and branded with tonal 3D Converse Star Chevron logo. The sneaker has a slightly longer gusseted tongue that sticks out and tonal laces to match the monochromatic theme. The heels are elevated and stamped with AMBUSH in cyber yellow.

Retail price for Chuck 70 is USD$180 and Pro Leather is USD$160.
AMBUSH x Converse collection are is set to release on 19th October at converse.com and selected retailers in the US.
