If you are one of those who spent your childhood playing catching ‘downstairs’ or have lepaked with your friends ‘downstairs’, you would find Downstairs familiar. The nostalgic-themed cafe that recently opened in August at UE Bizhub East has garnered attention on social media for its void deck-inspired interiors and my, it sure is bringing back memories!
The cafe’s interiors may be made up of muted colour schemes but their blue and white tiled round chess tables made sure it stands out.
Along with old-school mail boxes, tear off lunar calendar and good morning towels, this is basically the place you need to be to go back in time.
Making local food great again
Besides the aesthetics, Downstairs also made sure they complete the nostalgia with everyday local food such as baos, economic bee hoon, wanton mee and more.
Check them out!
