Glitter is no stranger to holiday makeup. It’s fun, festive, versatile, and (dare we say) easy to apply. Especially with the disco revival in full swing, it’s impossible not to let this sparkly product into our beauty routines.
The key to pulling off this look is choosing one feature to accentuate and keeping the rest of your makeup neutral. For example, if you want to focus on the eyes, it’s best to stick with nudes and feminine pinks everywhere else.
Here’s a little cheat sheet to how you can wear this sparkly holiday look!
There are different types of glitter products on the market but our favourite is loose pigments. Apply by tapping (don’t swipe!) the pigment on your eyelids using your ring finger to achieve a more opaque look. We suggest using a primer or cream shadow first to keep the glitter in place.
When it comes to highlighters, more is more. Whip out your metallic highlighters and sweep them across your cheekbones (and up to your temples if you want that extra oomph).
Put your pout at the centre of attention by making it sparkle (literally). From holographic lip glosses to metallic liquid lipsticks, you can be as creative as you want with your lip colour. If you want to get that avant-garde runway look, take some loose glitter and pat the product on top of your gloss.
