As we approach my TWO YEAR (😱) anniversary of my loose skin removal surgery, I can’t help but reflect on how far I’ve come and how proud I am of the progress I have made. I wasn’t in the healthiest place when I had my surgery. I was terrified of what would happen during recovery. I was binge-eating and I knew I wouldn’t be able to exercise. I feared weight gain because at that time, I truly thought that gaining weight was the worst thing that could happen to me. My surgery showed me that I can maintain my weight with diet alone. It was a huge revelation and it helped me conquer an exercise addiction that I didn’t even realize I had. After surgery, I started struggling with body image issues that I had previously assumed would disappear following the removal of my loose skin. I had a drainless tummy tuck and my swelling was really bad. It negatively affected how I viewed my body. When the swelling finally went down, I was still left with a lot of body image issues. It has taken me a long time to feel confident in my body. Some days are better than others. But something I am proud of is that I wake up everyday excited to be my healthiest and happiest self. While I still struggle with accepting my body, it’s liberating to no longer fear it. I used to fear that my weight would kill me. I feared dying in my sleep or having a heart attack because of my size. Losing nearly 140lbs has taught me more than I could have ever imagined. I’ve come a far way and I hope my story can encourage you to never give up on yourself. 🖤 Starting date: January 8th, 2016 Height: 5’9”

#TransformationTuesday Yesterday I got the opportunity to tell my story at my dads work for their women’s day. I spoke a lot about sustainability when it comes to weight loss.. something I’m so passionate about sharing. It honestly is the most important part of why I was finally successful in losing and keeping it off. I had soooo many years of restricting and then quitting. Trying fads and quick fixes and always feeling like a failure. Eating one cookie and feeling like I ruined all my progress. I was SO damn tired of giving up. SO tired of feeling like it was going to be impossible to lose the weight. Until the day I cautiously walked into my first WW meeting and signed up. Started eating the BEST foods, making fun new recipes, and actually enjoying what I was eating while watching the scale go down. That was when I knew I could do it. Find what that is for you. Find new and exciting meals that you don’t dread. Let yourself have the damn cupcake. Find a way moving more that you don’t hate. It’s the most freeing feeling. —————————————————————— Starting weight- 302 lbs Lowest weight- 155 lbs Goal weight- 160 lbs Current weight(17 weeks pregnant)- 165 lbs 5’7 . . . #weightloss #weightlossjourney #looseskin #weightlosstransformation #bodypositive #bodytransformation #fitness #transformation #beforeandafter #beforeandafterweightloss #healthylifestyle #healthy #fitnesstransformations #beforeandafterweightloss #pregnant #pregnantafterweightloss #pregnancy #healthypregnancy

For today’s #mondaymotivation I wanted to take a walk down memory lane and remember THE outfit. It’s now been 19 months since our “day 1”. The day we started the @21daymealplan, the day @kingkane_vb and I decided we were going to take control of our lives, of our health, of our happiness. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ In just under 10 months I hit my goal of losing 120 pounds. I followed the @21daymealplan continuously with 1 cheat day a month. The majority of that time I worked out 6 days a week, anywhere from 30-60 minutes a day at home (2 months out of the 10 I went to the gym). ⁣⁣ I have been maintaining this 120 pound loss for almost 10 months now *I had my loose skin removed in March 2019 by Dr. Bendago at the @torontocosmeticclinic ⁣⁣ In the beginning maintenance was a little tricky, but honestly after following the MealPlan for over a year – my habits, my food choices, the community of support – EVERYTHING is rock solid. This is my life, this is my reality. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ We ALL have the power within us to create change. The question you have to ask yourself is if you’re ready to dig deep enough to find it?⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ _____________________________________ ⁣ ⁣ •The @21daymealplan is the only food guide I have ever used while on my weight loss journey. It is a one time price of $19.95 and 10% off with discount code JASMINE. Link in bio 💕⁣⁣ #mealplanbabes⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ *Registration for my next @21daymealplan accountability group challenge ENDS TODAY!
