Are you a victim of clogged pores? We know how frustrating it must be to struggle with clogged pores as we do too, ourselves. So we found an extremely easy two-ingredient recipe for a pore strip that can instantly unclog all your pores. We mean it, you can literally see all the disgusting dirt and oil upon the removal of the pore strip.
All you need: unflavoured gelatine, one tablespoon of milk, one microwave-friendly cup or container and one old makeup brush.
You can use any brand of unflavoured gelatine and also, any brand or grade of milk. So long as you have these two products, then you’re good to go.
The gelatine should come in satchets like these. You can get the satchets above for S$1 each on Carousell here.
How To Do It
Step 1: Pour one tablespoon of milk into the microwave-friendly cup or container
Step 2: Pour one tablespoon of unflavoured gelatine into the same microwave-friendly cup or container
Step 3: Stir the mixture until it is chunky
(Tip: if it looks a little like mashed potato, you’ve got it!)
Step 4: Place the microwave-friendly cup or container into the microwave and heat it up for 10 seconds
Step 5: Remove it from the microwave and let it cool for just a few seconds
Step 6: Using the old make-up brush, apply the paste on the back of your hand to test its temperature
Step 7: Apply the paste onto your nose or cheek areas (anywhere you want to unclog pores)
Step 8: Wait until the paste is completely dried out (approximately 10 minutes)
Step 9: Once it’s completely dry, start peeling the strip off
Step 10: Enjoy looking at all the dirt, oil and sebum that the strip has picked up!
We know the last step is pretty gross, but seriously, it really is quite satisfying to see all the dirt picked up by the pore strip. Let’s admit it… Looking at it really does give us a sense of satisfaction.
We hope this simple and extremely easy DIY recipe helps you whenever clogged pores decide to attack you.
